Masculine gender is typically used for males and also arbitrarily for other non-animate nouns.

Examples

• Ἀβραὰμ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ἰσαάκ
  Abraham begat Isaac
• γάρ ἐστιν ὁ νόμος
  For this is the law
