Grammar / Case / Nominative
The subject of a verb uses the nominative case. Typically, this is whoever or whatever is performing the verb's action.
Example
- ἠγάπησεν ὁ Θεὸς τὸν κόσμον.
God loved the world.God is nominative here because God is the subject of the verb "love". That is, God is performing the love, not receiving the love.
